घोर पडता संकटे ।।
गुरु रक्षी मागे पुढे ।।२।।
काया वाचा आणि मन।।

एका जनार्दनी शरण ।।

Guru maata guru pitaa,
Guru amuchi kuladevataa. ||1||
Ghor padtaa sankate,
Guru rakshi maage phude. ||2||
Kaaya vaachaa aani man,
Guru charani arpan. ||3||
Eka Janardani sharan,
Guru ek Janardan. ||4||
English Meaning
The Guru is my mother, the Guru is my father—
He alone is our family deity. ||1||
When intense calamities arise,
The Guru protects us from all sides. ||2||
My body, my speech, and my mind—
I offer them all at the feet of the Guru. ||3||
I surrender to the one Janardana,
For me, the Guru is none other than Janardana Himself. ||4||
