🪔 Reflection:
This bhajan, penned by the eminent Marathi poet Shanta Shelke, set to music by Pt. Hridaynath Mangeshkar, and soulfully rendered by Lata Mangeshkar, carries immense devotional and cultural significance. It is not just a song of praise, but an invocation that places Lord Ganesha at the beginning of every endeavor, echoing the timeless tradition of “श्रीगणेशा” before all auspicious acts.

Shelke’s words bring out both the grandeur and intimacy of Ganapati. The sindoor-clad form, glowing in divine fragrance, becomes a vision that captivates the devotee completely. The Lord is addressed as Gauri’s beloved son, Varadavinayaka, and the compassionate ocean of blessings, assuring that no obstacle remains unconquered under his grace.

The song holds historical weight as it was composed in modern times yet draws from ancient devotion, reaffirming Ganapati’s role as the guardian of beginnings and remover of difficulties. Listening to this rendition evokes surrender: one feels that bowing to Ganapati is not ritual alone, but a deep alignment of the heart with divine order. In moments of uncertainty, this bhajan reminds us that the first step to progress is humility before the One who clears the path.

🪔 Reflection: In the quiet rhythm of daily life, Sri Sripadarajaru's "Ninna Pujeyo Rama" whispers a timeless truth: every breath, every act is an offering to the divine within. Born as Lakshminarayana Tirtha around 1422, this 15th-century Dvaita philosopher and pontiff of Mulbagal matha founded the Haridasa movement, making bhakti accessible through Kannada hymns praising Vishnu. As guru to Vyasatirtha and inspiration for Purandara Dasa, he pioneered Dasa Sahitya, blending profound philosophy with melodic devotion that influenced composers like Tyagaraja. This bhajan, a gem of the tradition, embodies karma yoga from the Bhagavad Gita—transforming mundane routines like bathing or eating into sacred rituals dedicated to Rama, or Ranga Vitthala. It reveals the indwelling God: deities in our senses, prana as sustainer, all actions flowing back to the ultimate enjoyer. In a world of distractions, it calls us to see the divine in every moment, finding forgiveness and fullness in surrender. Here, worship isn't separate; it's life itself, echoing through centuries as a path to inner peace and unity with the infinite. Hari Vitthala 🙏

🪔 Reflection:

This beautiful bhajan by Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj is like a gentle invitation to choose love over the world’s distractions. The saint lovingly calls out—especially to women devotees—to turn their hearts toward the divine forms of God: Rama, Krishna, Gopala, and above all, Vitthala. It’s a simple yet powerful message: when we choose God, we are choosing peace, joy, and beauty that never fade.

Sant Dnyaneshwar, a great saint and spiritual teacher from the 13th century, brought the highest truths in a language everyone could understand. In this song, the word "बरवा" (choose) reminds us that devotion is a choice—a joyful, willing step toward the divine. When sung in a group, this bhajan feels like a celebration of unity and surrender. Through the soulful voice of Ajit Kadkade, the message becomes even more touching: no matter who we are, we can always choose to fill our hearts with God’s name and grace
