ಮಂಗಳಾಂಗ ಭವಭಂಗ  ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ನಿನ್ನ  ಡಿಂಗರಿಗನ  ಮಾಡೋ  ಅನಂಗಜನಕ ಯೇಸು ಜನುಮದ ಸುಕೃತದ  ಫಲವೋ  ತಾನು  ಜನಿಸಲಾಗಿ ಭೂಸುರದೇಹದ  ಜನುಮವು ಎನಗೆ  ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆಯಾಗಿ ಮೋದತೀರ್ಥ  ಮತ ಚಿಹ್ನಿತನಾಗದೆ  ದೋಷಕೆ  ಒಳಗಾಗಿ ಲೇಶಸಾಧನವ ಕಾಣದೆ ದುಃಸಹವಾಸದಿಂದಲೇ  ದಿನ ದಿನ ಕಳದೆ ಶಶಿಮುಖ ಕನಕದ ಆಶೆಗೆ ಬೆರೆತು  ವಸುಪತಿ ನಿನ್ನಡಿಯ ಹಸನಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ನೆನೆಯದೆ  ಕೃಪೆಯ ಗಳಿಸದೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟೆನಯ್ಯ  ನಿಶೆಹಗಲು ಸ್ಥಿರವೆಂದು ತನುವನು ಪೋಷಿಸಲಾಶಿಸಿ  ಜೀಯ ಕುಸುರಿದೆ ನೆಲವೋ  ಸರ್ವಕಾಲ ನಿನ್  ಒಡೆತನವೆಂಬುವ  ಬಗೆಯನು ಅರಿಯದೆ ನೆರೆನಂಬಿದ  ಪಾವಟಿಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಾ  ಸರಿದು ಹೋದವಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಳಿ ಈ ಪರಿಯ ಜನುಮವು ಬರುವ ಭರವಸೆಯಂತು  ಇಲ್ಲಾ ಪರಿಪರಿ ವಿಷಯದ ಆಶೆಯು ಎನಗೆ ಕಿರಿದು  ಆಯಿತಲ್ಲಾ ಹರಿಯೇ ಜಗದಿ ನೀನೊಬ್ಬನಲ್ಲದೆ ಪೊರೆವರಿನ್ನಾರು  ಇಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ  ಅವನಿ ಒಳಗೆ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಚರಿಸುವ ಹವಣಿಕೆ ಎನಗಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪವನಾತ್ಮಕ  ಗುರು ಮಧ್ವ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಪ್ರವಚನ ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲಾ  ತವಕದಿಂದ ಗುರು ಹಿರಿಯರ ಸೇವಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಒಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲಾ ರವಿನಂದನ ಕೇಳಿದರ  ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡೆ ವಿವರಸರಕು ಒಂದಾದರು ಇಲ್ಲಾ  ಭಾಗವತರೊಡಗೂಡಿ ಉಪವಾಸ ಜಾಗರ ಒಂದುದಿನ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಗದಿ ಶುಕಮುನಿ ಪೇಳ್ದ ಹರಿಕಥೆ  ಸಂಯೋಗವೆಂಬೋದಿಲ್ಲಾ ನೀಗುವಂತ ಭವ ಭಯವ ಭಕುತಿ ವೈರಾಗ್ಯವೆಂಬೋದಿಲ್ಲಾ ಯೋಗಿವಂದ್ಯ  ಗೋಪಾಲವಿಠಲ.....ಗೋಪಾಲವಿಠಲ; ವಿಠಲ ವಿಠಲ ಗೋಪಾಲವಿಠಲ ಯೋಗಿವಂದ್ಯ  ಗೋಪಾಲವಿಠಲ ತಲೆ ಭಾಗಿ  ನಿನ್ನನೇ  ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಬೆ

Bhūsura dēhada janumavu enage sambhavisideyāgi

Mōdatīrtha mata cihnitanāgade dōṣake oḷagāgi
Lēśa sādhana kaṇade duḥsahavāsadindalē dina dina kaḷade

Śaśimukha kanakada āśege beretu vasupati ninnadiya
Hasanāgi ninna neneyade kr̥peya gaḷisade keṭṭenayya

Niśehagalu sthiravendu tanuvanu pōṣisālāśisi jīya
Kusuride nelavō sarvakāla nin oḍetanaveṁbuva bageyanu ariyade

Nerenambida pāvaṭigaḷu ellā saridu hōdavallā

English Meaning

How do I manage, O Krishna, as life keeps slipping away?

Bless me, O Auspicious One, break the bonds of worldly life, and make me your child, O Creator of Love.

Is this life the reward of the virtuous deeds of Christ's birth, that I am born?
Or has the divine body of the earth brought me into existence?

Without the sacred mark of holy pilgrimage, I am trapped in sins.
Without even a glimpse of righteousness, I endure intolerable associations day by day.

Caught in the desires for the moon-faced golden dreams, I have wandered from your feet, O Lord.
I failed to think of you with devotion and could not earn your grace, thus ruining myself.

Day and night, thinking my life is eternal, I nourish this body and live on.
Unaware of this fragile earth and your eternal ownership over it, I live in ignorance.

All the debts and trusts I placed in others have been settled and gone.
There is no hope that such a life will come again after this existence.

The myriad desires of this world have grown insignificant to me.
O Hari, there is no protector for me but you in this world.

I have no yearning to wander within this sacred earth for virtuous deeds.
I have not listened to the teachings of Guru Madhva or the sacred scriptures.

I have not served my elders and teachers with dedication or earned their blessings.
Even when Ravinandana asked me for answers, I had no worthy offering to give.

I have not fasted or stayed awake a single night with the company of devotees.
I have not heard the Harikatha recited by the blessed sage Shuka.

I lack the devotion and renunciation needed to dispel the fears of worldly existence.
O Gopalavithala, worshipped by the yogis... Gopalavithala; Vithala Vithala Gopalavithala.
