ನಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಕೆ ಬಾರೆನೆ ವಿಠ್ಠಲ ನಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಕೆ ಬಂದರೆ ಭವದ ಬಲೆಯೊಳು ಸಿಲುಕುವೇನೋ ಶ್ರೀ ಪಾಂಡುರಂಗ ಬಲೆಯೊಳು ಸಿಲುಕುವೇನೋ ಜಯ ಪಾಂಡುರಂಗ ||

ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಕಿರಾತನ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಂಥ ಪಾಪವಸುಟ್ಟು ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಮುನಿಯೆನಿಸಿದೆ ಅಂತ್ಯಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ಅಜಾಮಿಳಗೆ ಅಂತಕನ ಬಾಧೆಯ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದೆಯೊ || 1 || 

ತಂದೆ ತಾಯ್ಗಳನು ತೊರೆದ ಧ್ರುವನಿಗೆ ಚೆಂದದಿಂದ ಮಾರ್ಗವ ತೋರಿದೆಯೊ ಪಂಕಜನಾಭನೆ ಕುಬುಜೆ ಡೊಂಕ ತಿದ್ದಿ ಶಂಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವಳ ಕೂಡಿದೆಯೊ || 2 || 

ಐದು ಮಂದಿಯ ಕೂಡ ಸರಸವು ದ್ರೌಪದಿಗೆ ಐದೆಲಜ್ಜೆಯ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯೊ ದೀನರನುದ್ಧರಿಪಪುರಂದರವಿಠಲಏನು ಕಾರಣ ನನ್ನ ಮರೆತೆಯೊ || 3 ||

English Meaning

I am not coming to your mind, Vitthala,

If I do, I fear I might fall into the trap of worldly desires,

Will I ever be ensnared within the trap of Shri Panduranga? Victory to Panduranga!

Like a wicked hunter, I, Valmiki, was caught in the trap of sin,

But at the end of my life, the pain of the god of death was relieved from the sinful Ajamila.

Showing the path to Dhruva, who abandoned his parents,

Without any doubt, embraced by the lotus-eyed one, does she not reside?

Is it not true that five brothers were imprisoned by deceitful means,

O Purandara Vitthala, why did you forget me?"

These verses express the longing of the devotee to be remembered by Vitthala (Lord Krishna) and their fear of falling into worldly traps. They also reflect on the stories of Dhruva, Valmiki, and the Pandavas, seeking solace in the remembrance of the divine.
