ಯಾರು ಬರುವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ||ಪ||

ಇತ್ತ ಬಾರೆಂದು ಯಮಭಟರು ಸೆಳೆದೊಯ್ಯುವಾಗ ||ಅ||

ಸತಿಸುತರುಗಳು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿನ್ನ

ಹಿತವಾದ ಬಂಧು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ

ಕ್ಷಿತಿಮಾನ್ಯಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ

ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಪತಿಯೆಂಬವನಲ್ಲದೆ ಗತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಲ್ಲ ||

ತುರಗ ಗಜಗಳು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿನ್ನ

ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಈ ತನು ನಿನ್ನದಲ್ಲ

ನರಪತಿಯ ಸೇವೆ ಸ್ಥಿರವಲ್ಲ ನರ-

ಹರಿಯೊಬ್ಬನಲ್ಲದೆ ಪರಗತಿಯಿಲ್ಲ ||

ಧನಧಾನ್ಯಗಳು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿನ್ನ

ಅನುವಾದ ನವಸಾಧನಗಳು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ

ಜನನಿಜನಕರು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನಮ್ಮ

ಹನುಮನಯ್ಯನ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಗತಿಯಿಲ್ಲ ||

ಈ ದೇಹ ನೀ ಬಿಟ್ಟ ಬಳಿಕ, ಅವರ

ಬಾಧೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಸುಡುತಿಹರೊ

ಬೂದಿ ನೀರೊಳು ಚೆಲ್ಲುತಿಹರೊ, ಬಂದು

ಬೀದಿಯಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಬೊಬ್ಬೆಯ ಮಾಡುತಿಹರೊ ||

ಇನ್ನಾದರು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು, ಮತ್ತೆ

ಮುನ್ನಾದರು ಅನ್ಯ ಗತಿಯಿಲ್ಲವಂದು

ಎನ್ನೊಡೆಯ ನೀನೆ ಗತಿಯೆಂದು, ಬೇಡು

ಮನ್ನಿಸಿ ಪುರಂದರವಿಠಲ ಸಲಹೆಂದು ||

Yaru baruvaru ninna hinde

Itta barendu yamabhataru seledoyyuvaga ||

Sati sutarugalu baruvudilla ninna hitavada bandhu snehitaru baruvudilla |

kshiti manya kshetravu baruvudilla laksmipatiyembavanallade gatiyobbarilla||

Turaga gajagalu baruvudilla ninna meravanige maduva i tanu ninnadalla

nara patiya seve sthiravalla narahariyobbanallade para gatiyilla||

Dhana dhanyagalu baruvudilla ninna anuvada navasadhanagalu baruvudilla |

janani janakaru baruvudilla namma hanumanayyana horadu bere gatiyilla

I deha ni bitta balika avaru badhegoskara benki haki sudutiharo

boodi nirolu chellutiharo bandu bidiyali nintu bobbeya madutiharo||

Innadaru tilidukondu matte munnadaru anya gatiyillavendu

ennodeya nine gatiyendu bedu mannisi purandara vittala salahendu||

English Meaning

Whoever comes behind you, O Padmanabha! (Vishnu) When the messengers of Yama (the god of death) come to take (you), O Vishnu!

The wives and sons do not come, nor do the close friends and relatives who are beneficial come, nor does your beautiful home or your respected areas come, there is no salvation other than the Lord of Lakshmi (Vishnu)!

Horses and elephants do not come, nor does this body, which is made for the procession, belong to you, the service of the king is not stable, there is no liberation other than the Lord Narayana (Vishnu)!

Wealth and grains do not come, nor do the translations of new scriptures come, one’s own kith and kin do not come, without Hanumanayya (Sri Rama) there is no other refuge!

After you leave this body, then they burn (you) by lighting fire for the sake of trouble, they immerse (you) in water or sprinkle (you) with ashes, they stand on the road and make a cry (for you)!

Atleast now they will think and then they will realize that there is no other way, You are the only refuge, O Lord! O Purandaravithala (Vishnu) you take care of us and you are the only saviour for us !
