समं शिवं निरञ्जनं भजेह राममद्वयम् ॥ ३॥
सहप्रपञ्चकल्पितं ह्यनामरूपवास्तवम् ।
निराकृतिं निरामयं भजेह राममद्वयम् ॥ ४॥
निष्प्रपञ्चनिर्विकल्पनिर्मलं निरामयम्।
चिदेकरूपसन्ततं भजेह राममद्वयम् ॥ ५॥
भवाब्धिपोतरूपकं ह्यशेषदेहकल्पितम् ।
गुणाकरं कृपाकरं भजेह राममद्वयम् ॥ ६॥
महावाक्यबोधकैर्विराजमनवाक्पदैः ।
परब्रह्म व्यापकं भजेह राममद्वयम् ॥ ७॥
शिवप्रदं सुखप्रदं भवच्छिदं भ्रमापहम् ।
विराजमानदैशिकं भजेह राममद्वयम् ॥ ८॥
रामाष्टकं पठति यः सुकरं सुपुण्यं
व्यासेन भाषितमिदं शृणुते मनुष्यः ।
विद्यां श्रियं विपुलसौख्यमनन्तकीर्तिं
सम्प्राप्य देहविलये लभते च मोक्षम् ॥ ९॥
॥ इति श्रीव्यासविरचितं रामाष्टकं सम्पूर्णम् ॥
English Meaning
I worship the uniquely beautiful, sin-destroying,
ever-blissful, and non-dual Lord Rama who delights the hearts of His devotees. || 1 ||
I adore the one with matted locks of hair, radiant Lord who removes all sins,
and who dispels the fears of His devotees—my reverence to Lord Rama. || 2 ||
I worship the embodiment of self-awareness, the bestower of grace,
the remover of worldly suffering, who is ever-peaceful and untouched by illusion. || 3 ||
I worship the transcendental and formless Rama,
beyond name and form, existing within the created universe and beyond. || 4 ||
I adore the spotless, changeless, and pure,
ever-pervasive, consciousness-filled, Lord Rama. || 5 ||
I worship Rama, the boat to cross the ocean of existence,
who transcends bodily limitations, the treasure of virtues and compassion. || 6 ||
I revere the all-pervading Supreme Brahman, adorned by the great Vedantic declarations,
and shining as the ultimate truth. || 7 ||
I worship Rama, the giver of auspiciousness and happiness, who cuts the bonds of worldly existence,
dispels delusion, and illuminates the path of liberation. || 8 ||
Those who read or hear this easy and meritorious Ram Ashtakam, composed by Sage Vyasa,
will attain wisdom, prosperity, immense happiness, eternal fame, and ultimately liberation. || 9 ||
