ಮರೆಯಬೇಡ ಮನವೇ ನೀನು
ಹರಿಯ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯಾ ||ಪ||
ಯಾಗ ಯಜ್ಞ ಮಾಡಲೇಕೆ
ಯೋಗಿ ಯತಿಯು ಆಗಲೇಕೆ
ನಾಗಶಯನ ನಾರದವಂದ್ಯನ
ಕೂಗಿ ಭಜನೆ ಮಾಡೊ ಬೇಗೆ ||೧||
ಸತಿಯು ಸುತರು ಹಿತರು ಎಂದು
ಮತಿಯಗೆಟ್ಟು ಕೆಡಲಿಬೇಡ
ಗತಿಯು ತಪ್ಪಿ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ
ಸತಿಯು ಸುತರು ಬಾಹೊರೇನು ||೨||
ಹರಿಯ ಸ್ಮರಣೆ ಮಾತ್ರದಿಂದ
ಘೋರ ದುರಿತವೆಲ್ಲ ನಾಶ
ಪರಮಪುರುಷ ಪುರಂದರವಿಠಲ
ಪದವಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಪವನನಯ್ಯ

Yāga yajña māḍalēke
Yōgi yatiyu āgalēke
Nāgashayana nāradavandyaṇa
Kūgi bhajane māḍo bēge ||1||
Satiyu sutaru hitaru endu
Matiyageṭṭu keḍalibēḍa
Gatiyu tappi hōguvāga
Satiyu sutaru bāhorēnu ||2||
Hariya smaraṇe mātradiṁda
Ghōra duritavella nāśa

English Meaning
O mind, do not forget—
Just remember Hari alone!
Why run after rituals and sacrifices?
Why strive to become a yogi or ascetic?
Call out with devotion to the One
Adored by sages and who sleeps on the serpent bed.
Don’t lose your clarity, running after
Wife, children, and loved ones.
When your final moment comes,
None of them can save you.
Just by remembering Hari’s name,
All deep sins are destroyed.

Abstract:
This bhajan is a reminder to the mind—don’t forget Hari, just keep remembering Him. No need for complex rituals or becoming a yogi. Simply calling out His name with devotion is enough. It also tells us not to get too attached to family or loved ones, because in the end, they can't save us. Only Hari’s name can destroy our sins and give us true liberation. The message is clear: keep remembering God and everything else will fall into place.
